Concert-goers made the most of a glorious summer’s evening on Saturday 1st July. Picnics around the church were much enjoyed, together with the opportunity to soak up the wonderful atmosphere of the South Downs countryside.
Ensemble Moliere, a group of young and highly talented musicians of international experience, performed a programme of French Baroque music to an audience of eighty people. Their stunning musicianship on a range of period instruments including flute, harpsichord, bassoon, violin and viola da gamba did full justice to a fine repertoire of music from the 17th and 18th Centuries.
The evening was a great success and a profit of £545 was made for the Idsworth Church Friends Trust.
